WASHINGTON — ‘The Patriots, God and Country Tour’ started in Phoenix in Arizona on Tuesday, with its participants intending to drive in custom fire trucks and vehicles adorned with the US symbols across the country to Washington DC.

“Our nation is in crisis. Our country needs to rally behind something positive, inspiring,” reads the statement on the official website of the tour. The tour will cover 5000 miles ( 8046 kilometres) and 28 cities, according to the website. “It’s the celebration of this wonderful country, the freedoms we have. I wanted to put a positive spin on the greatness that we have, the greatness of this country,” explained Dave Graybill, the organizer of the event. The tour is expected to end on the US presidential election day, November 3.
