QUEENS, New York —Residents of Queens borough of New York City reacted to newly-imposed coronavirus restrictions including the closure of non-essential businesses in several areas of the city on Wednesday amid a spike in cases of COVID-19.

Angelina Wright, a student, said, “I’m upset about it. Because today was our last day of classes in person. Now we have to go remotely, and it won’t be the same, so it will be a little bit challenging to get all the information. But it’s kind of upsetting because I also eat over here sometimes, so I know the businesses are going to be closing down. I feel bad for the businesses because I know they are struggling right now.” People were also seen queuing to be tested for COVID-19 outside a temporary testing facility.
