(VNN) — Protesters took to the streets of Milwaukee on Wednesday, after District Attorney John Chisolm decided not to charge Wauwatosa Police Officer Joseph Mensah in the fatal shooting of 17-year-old Alvin Cole.
Chisolm reportedly backed his decision by saying that there was sufficient evidence showing that Mensah acted in self-defense. Alvin Cole was shot dead outside a Wauwatosa mall on February 2 when police reacted to a disturbance call as indicated in police reports. According to reports, Mensah has now been cleared three times by District Attorney Chisolm for the use of deadly force while on duty.
