(VNN) — Drone footage from Loveland, Colorado captured a wall of smoke filling the sky on Wednesday as the Cameron Peak wildfire became the biggest in state history. The fire, which is reportedly only roughly half contained, had spread to over 158,000 acres in size by Wednesday evening, as it burnt on in the north of the state. The cause of the blaze, which has been burning since August 13, has still not been established but strong winds have helped the fire spread rapidly in recent days, forcing authorities to issue more evacuation orders for communities nearby.
