COLORADO – Boulder emergency officials were seen closing down roads leading into the mountains nearby, as many parts of Highway 36 remain closed, as a wildfire raged through Lefthand Canyon in Boulder County on Sunday. Smoke mixed with storm clouds over Boulder County, after the wildfire started to burn on Sunday afternoon. By the evening it had scorched an estimated 312 acres, according to local media. The Lefthand Canyon blaze is the latest in a series of wildfires to afflict the state of Colorado. It has prompted a series of local residential evacuations.
